Keep Mum

Nothing heralds the impending arrival of fall like a beautiful mum.  Well, maybe a field of pumpkins is a close rival.  This one was too pretty to pass up at the market today.

Moths

I never realized how some moths have the most beautiful coloration.  These are just a small sampling of the photos I found on Pinterest.  The last one has to be my favorite.  It's like a Bohemian moth!  

Two Door Cinema Club

My son Cameron introduced me to this band and I love them!  Instant good mood songs.  They are performing in Cleveland next month, but can't make it to their show :(  This song is two years old, but it's a catchy one.

Brains!

Fun Fungi

My friend Anne snapped this beautiful photo of a very colorful mushroom at the base of a dead oak tree.  I had no idea that fungi could take on such pretty coloration.  Thanks for sharing Anne!

In Memoriam

Yesterday, our family lost a wonderful mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Chris' Grandma Betty passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.  We are so thankful that Chris and Cole were able to spend a week with her and the family in July.  I know Chris & Cole will treasure those memories.  Please say a prayer for his family as they experience this sad time.  Thank you.
